Vancouver Fashion Week

It was such an honor to walk in Vancouver Fashion Week for Tetyana Golota (@ecostylist) for her “Love to Ukraine” that included her designs and a performance by the Dovbush Ukrainian Dancers. Her show has a powerful message and it was incredible to wear her designs. “We are strong and rooted in traditions and our culture will live forever.”

I have always been a fashion enthusiast so debuting the Vinok I made while walking along such talented models and representing Ukraine may have made me tear up a bit on the runway. It was truly a cherished memory and so as a thank you to Tetyana (Eco Stylist) for including me I created Fashion Illustrations of her show from Vancouver Fashion Week.

Tetyana Golota is a designer, stylist, artist and has the titles of Mrs. Canada and Mrs. Ukraine. She was born in Ukraine and moved to Canada 26 years ago. With masters in Engineering, she built a professional career in her industry but stayed creative with deep roots of Ukrainian craftsmanship. She learned everything she knows from her beloved grandma back home in Carpathian village. She uses her skills to promote her culture, traditions and what truly is couture “old school”, while living with disabilities.
